Suicide Boomers Go Ballistic On Broadway

NEW YORK CITY , June 18 – A new musical opening on Broadway this week contrasts middle east culture with traditional western show tunes. “Ah, My Dinner Jacket” is a story about two opposing characters – a Muslim who is known in cyberspace as MacMood and a Jew who uses the handle Internet Yahoo.

MacMood is constantly looking for an appropriate outfit for the evening meal, thus the title, and Internet Yahoo keeps trying to reach a settlement with the financial institution West Bank Savings & Loan. While each character struggles with daily challenges they break into familiar songs with unfamiliar lyrics.

Some of the better adaptations include “76 Jihads” from The Music Man, “I Once Met A Guy Named Mohammed,” from West Side Story, and “Young and Jewish” from Plain and Fancy. MacMood keeps referring to the show Damn Yankees and reminds us that “Whatever Hymie Wants, Hymie Gets.”

Internet Yahoo taunts MacMood with the claim that MacMood is a Santa Claus denier. This makes MacMood go nuclear and he threatens to send his newly tested mistletoes to Israel. Meanwhile, an American character named Dickhead Dobson calls MacMood an Anti-Christ and tries to revoke MacMood’s honorary degree from Exxon Qur’an College.

This all makes Internet Yahoo wish for a peaceful coexistence with his rival and he breaks into song with “My Yiddishe Mullah.” Not to be outdone, MacMood sings about their differences with a rendition of “You say Challah, I say Allah.”

In the end both claim they want to get along and together with full chorus belt out a familiar tune popularized by an Italian crooner.

Jews and Arabs, Jews and Arabs
Go together like a same-sex marriage;
This I tell the Mullahs
You can’t have fun without your brother.

MacMood eventually locates his dinner jacket and threatens to deny the Internet unless the computer industry finds a country for him to rule. An American company produces the iRan to keep the explosive MacMood quiet leaving Internet Yahoo stuck with an iSore.

“Ah, My Dinner Jacket” features comedienne Sarah Silverman playing MacMood in drag and singer Michael Jackson impersonating Internet Yahoo in white face. The show has already been nominated for the notorious Islamic Fatwah award.
